Materials and data are available from PlasmoGEM on an open access basis and free of charge. This includes the designs for oligonucleotides and gene targeting vectors, as well as the finished vectors and our genomic library clones.
Vectors are available to researchers affiliated with non-profit academic research institutes, conducting non-commercial malaria research.
PlasmoGEM operates on a non-for profit basis and we do not charge for any of the materials we provide. However, we are unable to cover shipping costs and recipients of materials are asked to pay for the shipment. Our vectors and library clones are covered by a material transfer agreement (MTA). Please set up an MTA with us with your first request. Subsequent requests are covered by the same MTA.
PlasmoGEM is a research community resource and results obtained using our materials should be made available to the community. We therefore expect users to submit phenotypic data obtained from P. berghei mutants generated using PbGEM vectors to RMgmDB, the rodent malaria genetically modified parasites web resource, regardless of any publication that may also cover those mutants.
